CheetahXD
Broadband Assurance
Platform
Isolate issues within the multi-layered HFC network by intelligently aggregating network fault and performance metrics.
The CheetahXD™ Broadband Service Assurance platform is Tollgrade’s next-generation solution for meeting the service assurance and operational needs of the converging cable network. Our web-based solution is designed to manage the HFC network (from headend to CPE) by proactively monitoring the physical network elements that provide revenue-generating IP services (such as High-speed Data [HSD] and VoIP) and to pinpoint network degradation proactively, thereby resulting in reduced trouble tickets and truck rolls.
The CheetahXD framework provides cross-domain (XD) navigational and fault views of the various services deployed, while preserving existing customer investments by integrating multi-vendor DOCSIS®-based and HMS transponders, as well as proprietary Tollgrade/Cheetah transponders for monitoring power supplies, nodes and end-of-line network elements.
CheetahXD leverages Tollgrade’s newest multi-function DOCSIS-based transponders featuring VoIP service testability along with a wide range of other IP service testing applications. Users access web-based fault and performance views to navigate across the various physical and service domains (HSD, HFC, etc.) from a single point in the network, visually correlating the physical network impairments to the performance information of IP revenue-generating services and vice versa.
CheetahXD's open architecture provides complete Faults, Configuration, Administration, Provisioning and Security (FCAPS) functions along with customizable smart launches and drill-down menus to EMS-specific functions. The advanced suite of optionally licensed Battery Analyst application allows operators to remotely test the performance of standby power supplies to ensure operational capacity in the event of commercial power outages. Additional in-built tests also allow for predicting the life expectancy of standby supplies based on load conditions. The northbound interface allows for integrating CheetahXD events into other OSS applications, thereby enabling operators to extend the functionality of CheetahXD as their operational practices require.
